July 1, 2005: El's favorite color right now is blue. Her favorite food is a "Hero Pop," even though she's never had one. She saw it on a commercial and now it's her favorite. :) She also loves Roti, spaghetti, cake and rainbow sherbet. Thursday, February 17, 2005: El had a great birthday. She had cupcakes at school and then got to leave school early, after lunch, because it was her special day. Maddo got to leave early too. Then we went to the ice cream shop and picked out a cake for after dinner that night. She and Mads also got some ice cream while we were there. Then we went home and had a nice long nap. After her nap, El opened her presents from Yeh-yeh, Mommy & Daddy and one from Maddo. Yeh-yeh picked out a very cute outfit for her and also gave her a little doggy clock. Daddy and Mommmy got her a Hello Kitty frame (a frame that she wanted for Christmas, but we didn't get for her, and she REMEMBERED), and a 30th Anniversary Hello Kitty doll, dressed up in a beautiful red ruffly dress with lots of ruffly flowers all over it. Maddo picked out some cute Hello Kitty socks for her. Maddo also got a present, a little brown Ty doggy that she wanted to get the day before while picking out the socks for El, but Mommy wouldn't buy it for her then--strategic gift-purchasing, you could say. After the gifts, El and Mads took a nice bubble bath, during which Maddo says, "I love your birthday! Are you going to have another one?" Then we got ready to meet daddy for dinner at her favorite restaurant for Curry Chicken. Tommy Jio-jio joined us too. After dinner, we went home for the ice cream cake. El picked out a Reese's Pieces chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream and Reese's inside and on top. Here are some pics. El placed the candles on the cake. It looks like the cake's on fire! On saturday, El will be having a Teddy Bear Tea party to celebrate her birthday with the rest of the family and her friend, Taylor. (She didn't want to invite any of her other friends). Da Gu-gu and Shiau Gu-gu will be flying down just for the party.
February 19, 2005: El's Teddy Bear Tea Party.
The girls had peach ice tea and Da Gu-gu brought pastries: Fruit tarts, teddybear cookies, and a special, smoked-salmon-with-sour-cream-seaweed-cracker hors d'oeuvre! (I had to look that up for the spelling.)
And then, you can imagine what happened next....
Yes, they went totally wild and crazy, running around the house non-stop and jumping on their beds, screaming and roaring, ...... and sometimes falling down on the ground.
Then, it was time for cake! Two cakes, actually. |
