October 8, 2005: Test for Purple belt.

 

The first part of the test involved performing the Tae Geuk 1 form and basic movements.

 

Then she geared up for the sparring part of the test.

 

She was getting tired by this time....

She didn't really have anyone the same size to spar with,

so a classmate kinda acted as a moving target for her.

 

 

Lastly, El breaks the board with a "turning sidekick"

October 19, 2005: Belt awarding ceremony.

  

El receives the "Best Player" award for the "Tyke" division (4-6yrs).

She also got a free uniform!

October 31, 2005: Costume Day!

 

Here's El with some friends from TKD:

Rashita, Joseph, her good friend Trinity, and Trinity's cousin, Tyler.

     

El received a pumpkin full of goodies for winning the costume contest.

(I guess it was her plastic sword....)
